icon Introduction

PHOTO TAIPEI 2009 is the very first art fair targeting photography and digital art in Taiwan. Based on the mission statement to create a communicational platform among various Asian art markets, we invite established galleries from all over Asia - including Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, etc. – to enjoy the blooming vitality of photography and digital art cultivated from each country. Additionally, we wish to expand our art map even to Europe and America to further encourage the exchange of arts. The Westin Taipei, as the co-organizer of PHOTO TAIPEI 2009 and also where the art fair locates, will provide each exhibitor and visitor with excellent service and exhibiting space. In order to further quarantine the quality of the exhibiting artists and the exhibited artworks, acknowledged art scholars and important market figures will be recruited as juries to evaluate all the applicants. Sparing no effort, we wish to present you a top hotel art fair this winter..

It is well known that many famous art collectors come from Taiwan. In fact, statistics from Sotheby’s in Hong Kong confirms that one third of Asian contemporary art collectors are from Taiwan. The success of YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009 earlier this year has brought more confidence to the organizer, Taiwan Contemporary Art Link. We thus stand on the ground established by YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009, and continuously cultivate the art market in Asia. With all sincerity, we are confident to make PHOTO TAIPEI 2009 an event belonging to all Asian art followers and collectors, and your participation will be anticipated.

Sincerely,
Taiwan Contemporary Art Link
